Voter Turnout
Those of us that live in democratic countries don’t fully step up when it comes to voting. For example in the last Canadian federal election, there was about 61% voter turn out. The last fed election in the US had about 57%. In the UK it was 65%.
Its kind of sad that we have the right to vote, but we all don’t. I know the arguments – its statistically not important to vote, or “I hate all the candidates”. Then there’s the “I’m too busy” excuse, which brings us to today’s poll results:
Call me old fashioned, but I just think we all should vote. I do, and then I aptly complain with “At least I didn’t vote for them” or “I can’t believe I voted for them”, which ever fits. Maybe online voting would help with turnout, and complaints.
